Responsible Closures and Exits<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In Latin America, the transition toward carbon neutrality is an urgent necessity, driven by global demand for clean energy and environmental sustainability. However, at CREER we understand that this process goes beyond the closure of coal mines and oil fields. It is about ensuring that regions historically dependent on extractive industries adapt to a future that promotes social equity and respect for human rights.<\/p>

As these industries reduce their presence, territories face critical vulnerabilities: unemployment, poverty, and social instability. Our work focuses on preparing these regions for a “transition out,” recognizing that a sustainable legacy must be built from within the industries themselves, in direct collaboration with communities and for them.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
