Communicator from Universidad Autónoma de Occidente (Cali), with a specialization in Public Management from ESAP and a Master’s degree in Global Politics with a focus on International Economic Policy from the University of Helsinki. He has 14 years of experience in governance, multi-stakeholder dialogue, and the implementation of sustainable development projects with vulnerable—particularly rural—communities. His work integrates ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) criteria, supports the achievement of the SDGs, and promotes the mainstreaming of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) approaches.
Nelson has supported public policy processes in Colombia, including the update of the national guidelines for income generation for victims of the armed conflict (Ministry of Labor), and the comprehensive anti-corruption policy (Presidency of the Republic). He is also a pioneer in addressing disability in rural Colombia, particularly in the context of agricultural production systems.
