A geographer from the National University of Colombia, with over 15 years of experience supporting public institutions, research centers, nongovernmental organizations, and United Nations agencies on issues related to territorial governance, environmental risk assessment, and conflict transformation. He holds a Master’s degree in Environmental and Territorial Policies from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and a Master’s degree in Territorial Planning and Environmental Management from the University of Barcelona (UB).

His career has focused on the analysis and research of socio-environmental conflicts, particularly in the mining and energy sector, as well as on just transition processes, sustainable agricultural landscapes, and approaches to governance and human rights. He has facilitated multi-stakeholder dialogue spaces aimed at building agreements between communities, government institutions, and private sector companies. He also has experience monitoring illicit activities such as coca cultivation, illegal mining, and deforestation.

His work integrates spatial analysis through field data collection, geographic information management, cartography, and the implementation of GIS tools for the analysis of socio-environmental phenomena, territorial planning, environmental management, risk analysis, and evidence-based decision-making.
